After a group of contempuous cavewomen torture and kill one of their own over a romantic betrayal, a disfigured loner, known only as The Butcher, discovers and falls deeply in love with the mutilated corpse. He proceeds on a bloody path of revenge, picking off the sexy murderers one by one.

Terror strikes at the Los Angeles historic location on March 3 as filmmaker Kansas Bowling premieres her first feature film B.C. Butcher, distributed by Lloyd Kaufman’s Troma.

Shot on 16mm by Bowling when she was 17 and co-written with Kenzie Givens, B.C. Butcher is the first slasher film to be set in prehistoric times.
Part of the program Women Underground at the American Cinematheque, it is also the first event of the new initiative RACK FOCUS, which oversees screening series by women filmmakers from the Etheria Film Festival to the upcoming fest Les Femmes Underground & Seeking Our Story, which showcases influential films by women directors.

The 51 minute long film will be screened alongside the Troma mockumentary Lollilove directed by Jenna Fischer, starring herself and her husband James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Tromeo & Juliet) as a wealthy couple hoping to save the world, one sucker at a time.

The event will be followed by a discussion moderated by Lloyd Kaufman with director Kansas Bowling and actors Rodney Bingenheimer, Natasha Halevi, Devyn Leah, Molly Elizabeth Ring & Miranda Robin.
