“A lone fish, hooked by an angler’s line, encounters another in the same dire situation. As the two fish struggle against their fate, they develop an inevitable, entangling attraction. Is it love or merely a will to survive?”

Blending traditional sand animation and digital techniques, A Tangled Tale is the third short film produced and directed by animator Corrie Francis Parks relying on sand art.
A rather arduous and specialized process, sand animation is usually done in black and white yet Corrie uses color since her first short in 2003, Tracks.

As a freelancer using hand-drawn techniques, motion graphics, stop-motion photography and digital art, Corrie Francis Parks counts Walt Disney Imagineering, the New Zealand Department of Conservation and various tourism venues as her clients.
