Dawn is a quiet young teen that longs for something or someone to free her from her sheltered life. One day she meets Charlie, a high school dropout, who offers her a glimpse into a world she dreams to be a part of.

Starting September 19, Rose McGowan’s directorial debut Dawn has been shown at the Downtown Independent theater, Los Angeles each day for a whole week, alongside feature films starring female heroines. The movies were: Safe (Todd Haynes, feat. Julianne Moore), Thelma & Louise (Ridley Scott & Callie Khouri, feat. Geena Davis & Susan Sarandon), Harold and Maude (Hal Ashby, feat.
